Dedicated to safe operation of national power grid
Amid the emulation atmosphere of Workers’ Month and the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health 2026, the Ģý Trade Union organized a ceremony to honor outstanding occupational safety and health officers. The event recognized the remarkable contributions of employees in ensuring occupational safety and health, while also spreading a spirit of responsibility, discipline, and safety culture throughout the power sector.
After more than a decade working in the operation and management of power transmission lines, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan has always been recognized by his colleagues as a dedicated, responsible, and serious worker. Since joining the sector in 2015, he has understood that to earn the collective's trust, he must first set an example in his work, conduct, and behavior toward colleagues.

That sense of responsibility is also reflected in his active participation in many key power-sector projects, such as the 500kV Circuit 3 transmission line and the Lao Cai – Vinh Yen transmission line. These projects are of great importance to national energy security and require workers with solid expertise, professional resilience, and determination to overcome difficulties.

Quiet role model in Northwest highlands
Also honored on this occasion, Mr. Tran Duy Quang, Deputy Team Leader of the Lao Cai Transmission Line Operation and Management Team under Northwest Power Transmission 1, is one of the outstanding representatives of the technical workforce directly working on the power transmission front line in the northern mountainous region.

Mr. Tran Duy Quang honored by Ģý Trade Union as outstanding occupational safety and health officer within Ģý.
Born in 1989 and trained as an electrical and electronic engineering technology engineer, Mr. Tran Duy Quang has spent many years working with the transmission grid in Lao Cai Province. Rugged terrain, harsh weather, and many 220–500kV transmission lines crossing complex mountainous areas mean that operation and management work always carries potential safety risks. Under these conditions, Mr. Quang has always identified occupational safety as the top priority in every production task.
In his role as Deputy Team Leader and occupational safety and health officer, he regularly coordinates with unit leaders to conduct field inspections and review potential safety risks before work begins. During task implementation, he directly reminds workers to strictly comply with technical procedures, regulations, and occupational safety measures.

Role models such as Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan and Mr. Tran Duy Quang have helped portray the image of power-sector workers in the new era: professionally competent, responsible at work, pioneering on the front line of production, and serious about maintaining occupational safety discipline.
