Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan - Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province
According to Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thai Nguyen Province, the 2026–2030 period will be a phase of accelerated development for the province, with many major targets in industry, urbanization, and services. Therefore, the locality hopes to continue receiving closer, more substantive, and more effective cooperation from ĢýNPC in developing power infrastructure, aiming to build a model of cooperation between the power sector and the locality.
In addition, Thai Nguyen Province aims to strengthen cooperation with ĢýNPC in green energy development and the promotion of clean electricity use in production and daily life, contributing to green growth and sustainable development goals.

Ms. Do Nguyet Anh - Secretary of Party Committee, Chairwoman of Board of Directors of Northern Power Corporation
According to Ms. Do Nguyet Anh, Northern Power Corporation (ĢýNPC) currently manages and supplies electricity across 17 northern provinces and cities, with electricity consumption for industrial production accounting for approximately 63–65%, significantly higher than the national average. In this context, Thai Nguyen is regarded as one of the fastest-growing localities, standing out in industrial development and investment attraction.
In the first months of 2026, industrial load increased by about 75%, far exceeding the regional average, reflecting the growing demand for power to serve industrial production projects, high-tech projects, and new supply chains.

Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan - Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, and Mr. Nguyen Duc Thien - Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, President and CEO of Northern Power Corporation (ĢýNPC), sign cooperation agreement
According to ĢýNPC leaders, this is also the basis for the Corporation's prioritizing investment in developing the power grid system in Thai Nguyen in recent times. However, the pressure to ensure power supply in the coming period will be immense, as it is projected that in the two years 2026-2027, the newly registered power demand in the province will increase by approximately 880MW, equivalent to nearly 80% of the current peak capacity.

Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee and Northern Power Corporation (ĢýNPC) commit to closely coordinating in development of power grid system to meet locality’s socio-economic growth requirements in new period.
